About Claire
I'm Claire and I've been gardening for over 20 years anywhere I can.

Unlike a lot of experts, I didn't come from a traditional gardening background. I'm an RHS qualified horticulturalist, undergoing further training to pass on what I learn to others. I love making things simple, easy and effective for modern living.

I have a strong eye for design, a passion for living sustainably and a belief that gardening is for everyone, regardless of skills, ability and background.

I've taken on established but unloved gardens and turned them into joyful spaces without expensive or unsustainable redesigns.

I'm always up for tackling poor quality soil, weed infestation, unsightly views, bad landscaping, or new builds. I give clients the confidence to tackle these challenges and many others head on.

You can listen to more about me on the WorkJoy Podcast, hosted by Beth Stallwood.

I'm also a Trustee of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture, representing Early-Years Horticulturalists, and various geeky groups such as the Hardy Plant Society. I'm a registered member of the Gardeners Guild.

I believe in giving back to my community and the world - that's why my own garden is twinned to provide training in sustainable agriculture to a family in rural Migori, Kenya for a three-year period. I'm active in local sustainability initiatives such as Sustainable Overton and Test Source Community Energy, a non-profit renewable energy community benefit society.
